We live at an age that is defined by a growing ecological / environmental conscience yet emphasizes Technological advancement that changes our lives, turning the world into a borderless “global village”, and evokes future architectural and interior design challenges.

Dynamic Design Penthouse – the house is a single level home with 1.5m deep service sub-level.

Dynamic Home

The house changes and adapts to the family’s daily activities and to its changing size and needs over longer periods of time. The house includes an entry hall, living and hosting space, a kitchen and a dining area, a work / family / game / multimedia room, and 3 en-suite bedrooms.

The sub-level holds a hidden swimming pool that is exposed when the living room glass floor is moved aside along with the sofa.

Tables and desks may be lowered and raised and are multi-functional.  The sub-level will also hold utilities such as water holding tanks.

Since a growing percentage of the population is telecommuting, working from home-offices, the work-area will become a focal point in the house. During the day it will serve its work functionality and at night will transform into a family or media room.
It is surrounded by storage cabinets that can easily be moved to the sides and “open” the room to either the entry hall or the hosting area. In its center, the room has a multi-purpose work desk, with an LED screen as a table top, and can be used for both real and virtual meetings. The table is surrounded by comfortable chairs / task chairs, and all can be lowered or raised from the floor with the push of a button. When lowered, the table top is actually part of the glass floor.

Floor and wall through digital media capabilities

The entire house is floored and walled with glass walls that are also LED screens. Those can create different scenes and atmospheres within the house. They can show landscapes, sceneries and sites from all over the world without leaving the comfort of the house.

Also, the walls and the floor can show different colors and hues, as well as textures such as smooth colored surfaces facing striped or checkered walls.

The glass surfaces, separating the bedrooms from the bathroom, are also LED multimedia screens, and can be used for TV, schooling and virtual class arrays where children can join the class and see their peers on the screens. The same goes for the kitchen and of course, the work room walls.

Green Concept

The house is filled with Energy and water savings elements, water filtration and recycling system, and natural light air and vegetation systems. The house will use both aerodynamic and solar systems to self sustain its energy needs. For example, opening air inlets in different angles will create as strong air flow that will cool down the house, while the vegetation will clean the air and add to its quality and lower temperature.

Above the entry and along the entire house, is a “hard” ceiling with air and light inlets, 30cm above it is a decorative and semi-transparent glass rood that can filter the light entering the house, prevents dirt and rain from entering the house and allows airing during hotter days since it’s movable. During cold days it can be lowered to prevent heat from “escaping” the house.

Dynamic Aluminum screens shade the large glass screens and allow thermal insulation.

“Gray” water are being returned to the sublevel holding tanks where they will be treated by a filtration system as well as proper plants, to allow re-usage. Decorative solar panels provide the energy.

The house and its furniture are made of recycled green materials that adjust light and temperature and are self-renewed and cleaned.
